Volunteering is a wonderful way to get involved! LEAP offers a wide range of opportunities for individuals, groups, and businesses to become involved in a way that is most meaningful to them. Volunteers may commit to specific tasks on a weekly basis, for a short-term project, or to assist with an annual project. Volunteers are not paid –
not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless!
Horse lovers: muck stalls,clean the barn, fill and clean water troughs, feed, brush horses, bathe horses! We have horse lovers shifts every AM and PM.
Groundskeepers: facility maintenance and beautification; design landscaping; plant, weed, and water flower beds; repair fences; mow and weed eat
Advocates: market LEAP to businesses and individuals, speak at community meetings regarding the mission and services of LEAP, solicit private donations
Organizers: plan and implement fundraising events, participate in community awareness events

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have knowledge of horses and horsemanship skills to volunteer at LEAP?
Yes and No. Yes if you would like to volunteer as a horse lover in the am or pm. No if you are interested in Grounds, Advocates or Organizers.
I am very afraid of horses, but I want to help LEAP. Is there anything I can do that does not involve horses?
Yes! LEAP volunteers assist with administrative tasks, maintaining the facilities and grounds, publicizing the program, fundraising, and participating in community awareness events.
Can I ride your horses?
Sorry, but no. LEAP's facility manager and owners are responsible for the daily training and exercise of the horses.
Does LEAP reimburse volunteers for transportation costs?
No, but expenses related to volunteer activities may be tax deductible. Contact your CPA or consult the IRS for further information.

Corrie wears many hats for LEAP, from regularly volunteering, picking up extra shifts, coordinating Day of Caring Events and scheduling hoof trimming!
